GBIS, which stands for the Great British Insulation Scheme, is a government scheme aimed at improving energy efficiency, keeping people's homes warm and reducing fuel poverty.

The scheme is 100% Free: That’s right – it costs you nothing.

As a UK government scheme, accredited installers can carry out insulation work on your home and access the free grant on your behalf. 

The improvements made to your home will immediately cut your bills, increase the value of your property.

You only need to meet the following requirements to qualify:

  • Someone in your home receives benefits.
  • Or the combined household income is under £31,000.

You may also qualify if...

  • Your home has an Energy Performance Certificate rating of D-G, and within Council Tax bands A-D in England and A-E in Scotland and Wales.

What happens if I qualify?
